Editorial Profile
Since its inception in 1967, the South African Society of Dairy Technology (SASDT) has been promoting scientific and technological advancement within the dairy industry and its key role players. More than fifty-five years later, it is still the dairy industry’s preferred and trusted information hub.
The SASDT’s target market encompasses the whole value chain of dairy processing and production, including producers, processors, input suppliers and consumers. Within its scope, the SASDT provides stakeholders with an overall view of the dairy industry. Notices from government departments and regulatory bodies, such as the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALLRD), the Department of Health (DOH) and the Dairy Standard Agency (DSA), are distributed to ensure a wider awareness of dairy-related issues. In addition, fact sheets provided by the International Dairy Federation are made available on the website.
Sponsorship invitation
The SASDT invites members of the dairy industry to support the Society financially by various annual sponsorship options to be utilised for the promotion of technological advancement in the dairy industry and effective management of the administration of the Society. Sponsorship provides an opportunity for role players in the dairy industry for increased exposure by advertising on the website.
