Purpose in a Time of Turmoil

The COVID-19 pandemic has turned many industries on its head. Life is no longer quite the same and the inherent weaknesses of our world are quite evident. Can the new normal become a better normal? In this talk, phenomena representative of the turmoil we find ourselves in and how conducting business with a clear purpose can contribute to a better normal will be addressed.   Speaker: Dr Debbie Human-Van Eck is a member of faculty at Stellenbosch University where she heads up the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and teaches marketing communication, brand management and consumer psychology. She is also a co-worker at the neuro-marketing research lab that has been established at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Business Management. Dr Human-Van Eck’s academic interests include neuro-marketing, non-profit marketing, creativity and design thinking. In addition to her responsibilities at Stellenbosch University, she is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation, Living Legends, and she consults in the profit and non-profit sector.
